History
From 1940 to Today
Founded in 1940 in Turin by Salvatore Munnia, OMLAT emerges as a symbol of entrepreneurial spirit and resilience in an era of challenges. Upholding its original values, the company remains distinguished in the precision engineering sector, recognised for its prestige and innovative solutions.
1940
An Industrial RealityOver the years, Omlat expanded its plant and, with the acquisition of several grinding machines, increased its production capacity to the point of being recognised worldwide as a high-precision mechanical workshop. Grinding allows Omlat to manufacture spindle shafts or bearing seats in full compliance with required tolerances.
1955
The Evolution of SuccessAs the demand for spindles from machine tool manufacturers increased, Omlat responded by integrating a new assembly department into its structure, enabling the serial assembly of products. Omlat's assembly is structured based on product lines: from electrospindles for the wood or aluminium sector, products with smaller dimensions and weights, to those for the steel sector, which are actual machines for heavy milling.
1972
ComettThe year Omlat founded Comett, a mechanical workshop located about 15 km from the main headquarters, now equipped with nearly 30 machine tools, most of which are Mazak CNC machining centres. Comett, being an integral part of the group, guarantees full production autonomy for the construction parts of electrospindles.
2014
Building Tomorrow's World TodayThe Omlat Group, a world leader in the spindle and electrospindle sector, thanks to two modern production plants equipped with state-of-the-art machining centres and the company's know-how derived from 74 years of industry experience, offers our clients a genuinely "Made in Italy" product that enhances the value of their machine tools.
Now
A New EraOMLAT's production excellence today merges with the dynamism of the OLI Group, giving rise to OMLAT Mechatronics. With the acquisition of the OLI Group, a new vision in the mechatronics world emerges.
